About us

Who We Are

Where we came from, what we believe, and the standards we hold.

Our origin

We have walked every step

PuhuSpring was co-founded by senior practitioners with ten years in the field. Our core founding partner has personally completed an overseas family-building journey end to end — consultation, medical coordination, legal compliance, delivery, documentation and resettlement back home.

Having walked every step of it, we know how intricate and worrying cross-border family planning can be. We bring first-hand experience and a closed-loop, full-chain service to safeguard every family.

Our philosophy

Three things we would say

Ten years in the field, having lived the full overseas journey — we understand every trip and every hope.

PuhuSpring — a decade of expertise plus real overseas delivery experience, solving the whole cross-border process in one place.

We have personally completed the overseas pregnancy, documentation and return journey. Ten years of depth you can entrust each step to.

Our team

What kind of team we are

PuhuSpring focuses on consultation, program coordination and daily-life support throughout overseas assisted reproduction and family building. What sets us apart: several of our team members — or their families — have personally been through assisted reproduction, surrogacy, birth, documentation and the cross-border return.

Lived experience does not replace doctors or lawyers, nor does it guarantee the same outcome for every family. But it helps us spot problems from an intended parent's point of view, close information gaps and explain a complex process more clearly.

This experience helps us understand

  • How to compare clinics and program plans
  • Which costs are easy to miss
  • How to reset expectations after a failed transfer
  • How to communicate across languages with doctors, lawyers and coordinators
  • Who to call when something goes wrong in pregnancy
  • What supplies to prepare before the birth
  • How to arrange housing, caregivers and hospital trips
  • What can go wrong with birth certificates, passports and travel documents
  • How to prepare for a long flight home with a newborn

Why choose PuhuSpring

How we work

We have genuinely lived it

Several PuhuSpring team members have personally been through overseas assisted reproduction and surrogacy — choosing clinics, the embryo stage, communicating with a surrogate, waiting through pregnancy, the birth, documentation and a long flight home.

We know intended parents usually need more than a list of agencies — they need someone who understands:

  • The unease of waiting for embryo results
  • The anticipation around transfer
  • The confusion of dense English or Spanish paperwork
  • The tension when something goes wrong in pregnancy
  • The anxiety of feeling unprepared before the birth
  • The exhaustion of caring for a newborn alone abroad
  • The pressure of an unfixed return date while documents are pending

We take transparency seriously

We work to distinguish:

  • Facts already confirmed
  • Questions still needing a doctor or lawyer
  • Additional costs that may arise
  • Risks that can be avoided in advance
  • Things that cannot be predicted or promised

We respect professional boundaries

PuhuSpring provides consultation, coordination and experience-based support, but does not replace:

  • Reproductive medicine physicians
  • Obstetricians and pediatricians
  • Independent practicing lawyers
  • Governments and consulates
  • Insurance institutions
  • Qualified translators and notaries

We respect everyone involved

We respect intended parents' wish to build a family, and equally the health, privacy, informed consent and basic rights of donors, surrogates and children.

We will not describe surrogacy as simply buying an outcome, nor promise guaranteed success, a guaranteed healthy baby, or completion within a fixed period.

We offer companionship grounded in reality

PuhuSpring does not try to erase worry with exaggerated promises. In a complex process, we help intended parents:

  • Spot problems earlier
  • Compare options more clearly
  • Review costs and contracts more carefully
  • Communicate more effectively with professionals
  • Make better-informed decisions at key moments

  1. 1Complete a medical assessment
  2. 2Obtain independent legal advice
  3. 3Read the full contract and exit clauses
  4. 4Verify clinic and agency credentials
  5. 5Understand cost ceilings and extra spending
  6. 6Prepare a reasonable risk budget
